Our Story

Anna in Bhutan is a high-end ethical fashion company based in New York City.

Our wearable products are designed by our founder, meticulously handwoven by talented Bhutanese weavers, and then blessed for their wearers by high-ranking lamas (monks) of the Buddhist faith.

Our founder, Anna Katharina (Kate) Maria Broug, is an entrepreneur, pilot, journalist, and voice for women in business. To connect, educate, and inspire women entrepreneurs, she launched The Pivotal Moment podcast. Each episode focuses on the life and business of one influential female business owner. After a series of insightful trips to Bhutan, she was inspired to bring the magic of the country to the rest of the world.

We support Bhutan’s ecological commitment, and admire the respect the country gives to its people. Our products are more than just trendy fashion items. They are symbols for how the East can be an example to the West.
